Biography

Kevin Oliver, is a business owner, real estate broker, investor, and community advocate, he is a prominent figure in Bakersfield, CA. As a dedicated member of the Republican Party, Kevin's career and personal life reflect a commitment to service, leadership, and community betterment.

Born in September 1962 in Riverside, CA, and raised in Solvang and Santa Barbara, Kevin's journey of service began early with his tenure in US Navy Intelligence from 1981 to 1984. Stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk and later at the Fleet Intelligence Center Pacific (FICPAC), his military service instilled a profound sense of duty and patriotism.  


Kevin's influence extends beyond business; he has significantly contributed to education and mentorship within the real estate community. Collaborating with Rich Dad’s Robert Kiyosaki, Kevin has guided countless investors in launching and growing their real estate careers. His expertise is also highly sought after by hedge funds and high-level executives for property acquisition and management.


 Family is central to Kevin's life. Married to Cindy Oliver, they have navigated life's joys and challenges together, including the tragic loss of their daughter Christina Oliver. They are parents to Justin and Jonathan and proud grandparents to Zadkiel, Autumn, Everly, Emma, and Jaxon, who bring immense joy and purpose to their lives.

We must address these issues by empowering law enforcement with the necessary tools. This is a significant factor driving my decision to run for City Council Ward 5. Working tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of our community, often going above and beyond to ensure that everyone has access to essential resources and opportunities. 

Public Safety

Bakersfield is a city of great significance to us all, and it is our shared duty to cultivate a secure, thriving, and empathetic atmosphere for each resident. Personally, my family background has instilled a deep respect for law enforcement, with my father being a retired sheriff, and both my father-in-law and brother-in-law holding positions in the sheriff's department. It is imperative that we stand behind our law enforcement officers, ensuring they have the essential resources they need to uphold safety and promoting a community-centric policing approach.

Homelessness

I’m committed to working tirelessly to implement programs that provide shelter and mental health services as well as job training for those experiencing homelessness together we can make a difference.


It is crucial to have transparency and accountability in our efforts to address homelessness. I am committed to ensuring that the city properly tracks and evaluates the financial resources allocated for this cause to assess their impact and effectiveness. 

Small Business

Small businesses form the backbone of our community, and we must offer them our support. Some have faced break-ins and hardships recently. It's essential to back our small businesses, create job opportunities, and strengthen our economy..

OUR WARD 5

Residents residing in Ward 5 make a significant tax contribution to the city. From funding public schools to supporting local businesses, our contributions help create a vibrant and thriving environment. As we look to the future, I remain committed to listening to the voices of Ward 5, ensuring that our tax dollars are invested wisely, and fostering a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered. Together, we can build a brighter, more prosperous future for all
